In the transparency of things, let's just be honest, let's just be real! In the world we reside within everyone is free to feel what they feel and how they should feel. In the reality of things your feelings does not equate to someone else's feelings. In the society of what is constructed for the citizens that reside in the foundation of this country; there are battles that must be fought in order to break certain stigma's, or boundaries that has been place on various ethnic backgrounds. In a world where everyone is not friendly, education is not a priority for some and the progression of the world is detrimental to those who oppose it, things seem to be progressing in a format where it is acceptance according to what we say and not acceptance because we want to feel like we are apart of your world. As woman's history month, and poetry month progress we sit here as women still fighting for our right

RACE WITHIN THE UNITED STATES AND HOW IT IS TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT

Image
The construct of race within The United States is broken down and divided in to segments of people. You are labeled by your ethnicity as a race. The division that was created has caused a separation amongst the people that reside within this country. In the social construct of people and the economy; separation by class is not enough, there is also a derision that is a vice which comes in the construct of ethnic backgrounds. What is the Purpose of Black History Month?!

Image
America has been taught Black History starting with slavery. Black History is not about slavery it is there to remind those who do not know their Black History; it is a month that has been dedicated to African Americans as they would call melanin based people. It is for them to have something significant in their lives within The United States; a time for people to remember those who have paved the way for them. In the History that is talked about within the structure of schools, it starts with slavery. That is still a form of oppression. Cultivating the narrative that people's culture starts with slavery when that is not accurate it creates a line of oppression of the truth and reality; it becomes what someone else wants it to be.                                      In the History of America the first President was  John Hanson  a black man and not George Washington as it has been taught through out American History.( This was confirmed by USA Today) There are people who
