Nike, Collin Kaepernick, Serena Williams and Racism
The World went crazy when Nike released their AD with Collin Kaepernick. After all the things that has been taking place in the world why would a sneaker AD be your biggest issue. There are people without Health Insurance, schools being shot up by another student. Depression issues within many communities, President Trump scandals with his and his staffers all over the news, Genocide in Africa, gentrification within many neighborhoods; not to mention the cost of living going up while wages to cover those cost aren't; however it is clear that is not as much of an issue as an AD with a football player that took a knee during the national anthem. Racism is still an issue and many try to kick it under the rug. This AD that Nike has done with Kaepernick has resonate deep with many.
