  • 11:30AM— Oliver Miro, founder of Vortic, Digital Partner of Untitled Art, Miami Beach 2022 in conversation with artist Gretchen Andrew, discussing the impact of XR (extended reality) technologies on the art world and bringing their complementary perspectives to the table. 
     
  • 12:30PM— Join our selected Premier Prize Partners for a discussion on the importance of generating support for exhibitors, artists, and the larger art ecosystem beyond the traditional fair model. Alice Gray Stites, Chief Curator for the 21c Museum Hotels; Jackie Herbst, Coordinator and Art Manager of CCA Andratx; and Derrick Adams, Founder of the Last Resort Artist Retreat.   • 3PM— Our Artistic Director and Curator, Omar López Chahoud in conversation with exhibiting artist Devan Shimoyama on his Tarot series, taking inspiration from the centuries-old divination practice of card reading. (Presented by De Buck Gallery, Booth B46).
     
  • 5PM— Highlighting and Archiving Blackness in the Americas and Caribbean. With Afro-DominicanYork artistic scholar, curator, and writer Yelaine Rodriguez, and Brazil-based visual artist and writer Rafael Rg. Moderated by Auttrianna Ward, independent curator, publisher, multilingual writer, cultural producer, and co-founder of Mare Projects. (Presented by Auttrianna Projects and The55Project).

  • 2-7PM at SP17— presented by SEPTEMBER, you'll receive instructions and takeaway materials for Viewfinder with Lukaza Branfman-Verissimo, an interactive work in homage to artist, educator, and activist Corita Kent.
     
  • 8-10PM— Reception at our Cultural Partner, the Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami, for Didier William: Nou Kite Tout Sa Dèyè. Translated as We’ve Left That All Behind, the exhibition presents an in-depth look at the North Miami-raised artist’s career through paintings, drawings, and a newly commissioned, monumental sculpture.

Politics As Usual Or Is It?

                                                  As the fight for equality and justice continues, many have opinions on things that should take place during this time and through this era of life; with former President Trump facing his third indictment and Governor DeSantis loosing his backing and support from investors. It leaves most to wonder what is taking place in the political parties, there level of professionalism and the image that they portray to the citizens of this country. There is also the issues that are not being fully spoken about on news channels, issues such as current President Joe Biden's son, Hunter Biden being under investigation for his ties in Ukraine and the damaging information that was found on his computer. The fact that it was said that he plead guilty to these charges that were brought against him in federal court about his business practices does not seem to touch the air ways in the manner that it should.
