Super Woman Serena Williams Puts Her Cape Down!

For years Serena Williams has given the game of Tennis her best, and opened doors for (melanin) women  who comes in. Serena Williams had a long running career in tennis and won 98 titles, she has 23 Grand slams in doubles, 73 in singles. She has stepped on to many Tennis court around the world that you know of today, and she has fought for every title she won. She has left her sweat from her hard work on the tennis court along with the feelings of her opponents. Serena Williams has worn her cape for over 27 years and she has made so many people proud of her in the process. She created a space for young women of color, to thrive and know that it is okay to enter a world where you are the underdog within the compounds and create a space for you to come out on top. She has reached a place within her life where for her the work is already complete; and her mark is left on the court. 

There are things in life that each person was born to do, a field that is made for you to work within, new career path or choices that have not been created yet in this era. Life is not fair, that is what I hear many saying, however it is not always about being fair, remember that there is something that is meant for you to accomplish within this life, within this time period; the things you may want to accomplish may not be for you. Step outside of what you know and find who you are. Serena Williams congratulations on what you were able to do with tennis and becoming the woman who has changed so much within that industry for the African American women coming behind you.
