POLICE BRUTALITY AND JAYLAND WALKER

What kind of country do we live in when the police system creates more murders than the citizens within the country. It has been years of non stop racial and prejudice crimes taking place within the police departments in the United states of America. When will the war stop and what do the people have to do to stop the war? The United States of America is a slaughter house for the African Americans, Blacks and Natives of this land. There has to be justice given to those who deserve it because if you don't give it the people are eventually going to take the justice that they deserve for themselves.

How many has to die at the hands of police that are not armed?

Yet there is no justice that is given to these people!

How many has to die in police custody and still no justice has been given to those people and their families?

How many have to suffer the brutality of the police while they have no repercussions for their actions?

On June 27, 2022 Jayland Walker was killed by the Akron police department. He was stopped by the officers for a "routine traffic stop" It was said that Jayland was being stop for a broken tail light and a light bulb that was not working around his licenses plate, however Jayland did not stop the car for the officer. He continued driving above the speed limit of the street and crossed the city line. This incident took place 2:30 am June 26th. The officer that was unable to stop Mr. Walker Notified his fellow officers about the stop that did not take place.

On Monday June 27th 12:30 am They attempted to stop Mr. Walker once again he did not stop and the boys in blue gave chase. After exiting the highway and going back to the local road it was said that Jayland did not stop the car but he slowed the speed of the car around that time he fired shots out of the window of his car. He then proceeded to jump out of the moving car and take off running. It was in that time frame that the officers pulled their cars over and gave chase behind Mr. Walker. When then were in close proximity of Mr.walker after a seven second chase They pulled there guns out and opened fire. Eight police officers opened fire at one Unarmed young black man, more than ninety bullets were fired at the. Officers alleged that he look as if he had a gun so that is why they opened fire on this unarmed dark skin man.

Five more officers arrived on the scene after Mr. Walker was shot. When EMT arrived they found Mr.Walker in handcuffs with his hands behind his back. The officers on the scene said they tried to save his life but did could not. EMT reported Mr. Walker DOA, they examined his body at the scene and from what they were able to see his body was shot up so many times that you could not tell where the bullet entered and exited Mr. Walkers body.

"Police officers also alleged that they found a gun in the car after Mr. Walkers death." They also found a wedding band on the drivers seat of the car. There were bullet holes in the window of the car from the gun he allegedly shot. On July 3rd they held a press conference displaying particular parts of the police officers body cams. The parts of the body cam footage that was shown was around the time that Mr. Walker allegedly shot his gun instead of it being a footage it was a still image. Then they showed a slight clip of Mr.Walker turning around during the police chase. This is the point where officers alleged they thought he was reaching for a gun, right before eight officers opened fire on this unarmed young dark skin man.

In the protest following Mr.Walkers death, two of the people arrested were Breonna Taylor's aunt and Jacob Blake's dad.

During the press conference that was held on July 7th the religious leaders within the community spoke out about an investigation that needs to be done within the department and they need proper policing review completed on the police department.

This issues has been ongoing the mass genocide of the Melanin within this country. The pain runs so deep that Lift Every voice and sing was created. This song was sung by Alicia Keys at the Superbowl.

This song was written by James Weldon Johnson an NAACP Leader.

This song is known as the Negro Anthem in the time where they were looking for hope within The United States of America. "James Weldon Johnson was an American writer and civil rights activist. He was married to civil rights activist Grace Nail Johnson. Johnson was a leader of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, where he started working in 1917."

This within itself shows that the genocide of the Black people within america has been happening for too many decades to count. The is that everyone else are punished for their crimes and the united states does not uphold the same rules and laws to those who work within the compounds of the system. A murder is a murder no matter the title or badge that someone carries.

Dylann Roof opened fire in a church in Charleston South Carolina where more than fifteen people died, and he was apprehended and brought to jail without casualties.

James Holmes - Opened fired in a movie theatre in Colorado in 2012, where twelve people died; he was apprehended a few days later no casualties.

Omar Mateen- opened fire in a gay night club he was shot and killed after a three hour shoot out with police officers.

When it comes to the black people within this country it is always a form of police abusing there power and a very severe level of brutality.

Police brutality - is the excessive and unwarranted use of force by law enforcement against an individual or a group. It is an extreme form of police misconduct and is a civil rights violation. Police brutality includes but is not limited to beatings, shootings, "improper takedowns, and unwarranted use of tasers."
