Denny Dimin Gallery Present Virtual Spave Invaders

Exhibition closes Saturday, October 31st

VISIT SPACE INVADERS

Denny Dimin Gallery Hong Kong presents its first virtual exhibition with Hong Kong-based British artist Stephen Thorpe. The exhibition features all new works depicting carefully composed rooms, peppered with dated household objects and dream-like symbols, notably and enigmatically devoid of any figures. In their place stand classic arcade machines from the 1980s: Pac Mac, Frogger and Space Invaders.

CONVERSATION ON ART AND PSYCHOLOGY

Artist Stephen Thorpe sat down with psychiatrist Dr. Alexander Esterhuyzen to discuss the intersection between art and psychology.

“The interior world is something that is very easily neglected in a world that is so extroverted. Art is one of the ways in which it facilitates the possibility of the observer stopping to reflect on something. It brings people to a halt.”

—Dr. Alexander Esterhuyzen
