Global Citizens Festival Central Park

On September 29, 2018 Global Citizens Festival took place in Central Park. There were artists book for the event to perform on the stage as part of the festivities. One of the artist to perform is Cardi B. She wasted no time to hop on her Instagram and tell everyone that  she is doing her performance for free; the reason why she was doing the show was because Global Citizens is fighting for a bigger cause and when you believe in something you have to do something and fight for what you believe in. John Legend was also one of the performers for the event which comes as no surprise, with the heart that he has its natural for him to give back without the attention attached. There were other celebrities in the crowd like Angela Simmons who was there in support. She was spotted in the crowd amongst the viewers. There are many celebrities who support and take part of Global Citizens and they were in attendant at the festival yesterday many were on stage speaking about the changes they wanted to see happen and their role that they play within making these changes happen.

If you know anything about Global Citzens they fight along side many people who are working for change within the world. Somethings that they fought for was Climate change, refugees, education, migration and almost anything else that has to do with human rights. You can join them in their fight by volunteering and or donating to the cause that they fight for. They also do their festival as a way of giving to the people.

During the Festival on the 29th there were some unidentified noise within the crowd that left some of the attendees in alarm. The noise was unable to be identified at the time it happened many people thought it was gun shots, which made many people in the crowd scatter. People took off running out of Central Park which left many injured from the rush of the crowd. The Police were called to the area where the noise was coming from and notified attendees that their was nothing to alarmed about; that the noise that they were hearing was not gunshots and that they could relax. When this was done it was a little too late for some because injuries were already acquired by many attendees. Founder Hugh Evans was able to send out a message apologizing for what took place and to the people that attended the event.
