(NEW YORK — August 31, 2017) — New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) is delighted to announce CARNE Gallery (Bogotá) and Dawid Radziszewski (Warsaw) as the 2017 recipients of the second annual NADA Miami Beach International Gallery Prize.

The initiative awards galleries based outside the United States a distinctive platform to participate in NADA Miami Beach for the first time in a sponsored booth, furthering NADA’s global mission of cultivation, support, and advancement of new and relevant voices in contemporary art. This year’s NADA Miami Beach will showcase the best of contemporary art from around the world, with 108 exhibitors representing 36 cities from 16 different countries, including Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Guatemala, Hungary, Japan, Mexico, Poland, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and United States.

Prague-based gallery SVIT, the inaugural recipient of the International Gallery Prize in 2016, will return to NADA Miami Beach as an exhibitor with a performance by Czech artist Jirí Kovanda as part of the fair’s programming.

“NADA is a global alliance, and we’re proud that NADA Miami Beach has become an opportunity for galleries from around the world to forge new relationships and reach new audiences,” said Heather Hubbs, NADA Executive Director. “The International Gallery Prize adds another layer of diversity to the fair, and we look forward to what CARNE and Dawid Radziszewski will add to Miami this year.”

At NADA Miami Beach, the artist-run CARNE Gallery will present work that explores the notions of unproductiveness, hyper-consumerism and leisure as spaces for resistance and life, featuring four Bogotá-based artists: Adriana Martinez, Santiago Pinyol, Mariana Murcia, Juan Sebastian Pelaez.

Dawid Radziszewki’s presentation will explore the figure of the artist and the body of the artist by juxtaposing the works of two Polish artists from different generations: Adam Rzepecki (b. 1950) and Tomasz Kowalski (b. 1984).

The 2017 International Gallery Prize recipients were selected by the NADA Miami Beach 2017 Selection Committee. The prize is supported by visitors of NADA Miami Beach through ticket sales.
