Governor Cuomo's Letter After The Election

There is always much to be said on any topic. Generally everyone has an opinion and feel as if the opinion needs to be given. In a time where anything is possible everyone must find away to make it through. This country has always had the right to vote and elect who they want to put in to the highest chair within our country. Many people has turned out to let their voice be heard. Many feel as if no matter what they do their voices will not be heard. If you want something to be done right, you have to do it yourself. Unless you train someone else to duplicate things in the manner that you may want it to be done.  When President-elect Donald Trump Won the election the entire country was in shock,  even the people that voted for Trump. Many never really saw him winning the election. I have said this before the primary and before the general election that I believed that this man would win the election. I have even placed two separate bets with people I know that he would win. Here

Installation view: Jonathan Horowitz,  Hillary Clinton is a Person Too  (2008); Courtesy The Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD) The presentation of Horowitz’s work comes in anticipation of the 2016 presidential election, similar to its preliminary reveal in the artist’s 2008 solo exhibition at Gavin Brown’s enterprise ( Obama ’08 ). Inspired by a 1970’s Mother’s Day figurine, Horowitz crafted his own version as a nod to Hillary Clinton’s presidential candidacy. “We are excited to share this sculpture with Detroit,” says  MOCAD Director Elysia Borowy-Reeder . “It not only exemplifies the spirit of the museum’s  Mobile Homestead  project, but the importance of active debate and political participation in our city.” While politically ambiguous, the sculpture pushes viewers to question many of the issues today’s presidential candidates face; for example, this election’s overt sexism. The presence of gender bias in our culture has brought us to a crossroads th

SANFORD BIGGERS - SUBJECTIVE COSMOLOGY Sanford Biggers,  Shatter , 2015 production still. Courtesy of the artist. For his solo exhibition  Subjective Cosmology , Sanford Biggers will create an immersive interactive experience throughout  MOCAD , incorporating video installation, visual art objects, and new media. Imagined as an unseen world made visible, the exhibition gives physical form to hidden landscapes where the past, present, and future synergized into an atemporal experience. Subjective Cosmology can be seen as the link between his three—part film suite  Shuffle, Shake, Shatter . Shuffle, Shake, Shatter  is an ambitious three-part film/video suite that explores the formation and dissolution of identity through the journey and actions of an un-named main character. With the completion of his journey, he will have also retraced the North Atlantic Slave Trade route, albeit abstractly, from Europe to the Americas and finally Africa.
