Kentucky Clerk In same-sex Denial of Marriage Certificate, was Released from Jail!
Court county clerk Kim Davis of Kentucky has been released from jail today. She was held in contempt of the court because she refused to issue marriage licenses to the same sex marriage couples that got married in the county. Kim had three choices: go back to work and issue the licenses, step down from her job and let someone else take over or go to jail until she can comply with the law. Kim decided to go to jail. After six days she was released from jail. Former Governor of Arkansa Mike Huckabee went down to the jail center where she was held. She was released shortly after his visit to the prison. No statements was released from Kim; yet her lawyer has stated that a statement will re released by her later this week.
