Hip Hop Music and the Fight for Justice and Equality!
The first song i heard for 2014 with a rapper addressing young black men losing their lives in the streets was T.I the name of the song is New National Anthem featuring Skylar Grey. T.I, Nelly, Talib Kweli, Young Jeezy and J. Cole were all vocal supporters for justice of Micheal "Mike" Brown. He speaks on the pain that everyone is going through as a nation. It speaks clearly about the racism that is taking place in this country, addressing issues such as the shooting that took place in the elementary school back in 2013; also the movie theatre shooting that took place in Aurora Colorado in the year 2012. These young white boys were not killed when officers arrived on the scene instead they were arrested and face trial.
